FIELD CRICKETS (Gryllus)
Biology
- Length: ½ to 1-¼ inches
- Thread-like antennae are much longer than body.
- Will make chirping sounds
- Usually black in color, but varies to brownish yellow or straw yellow
Distribution/Habits
- Found world wide
- Live in pastures and meadows
- Occasionally they will damage field crops.
