- Length: ¾ inch
- Light yellowish to brown in color
- Dark brown bands on the head
- Antennae is long, thin and thread-like.
- Rear legs are well developed.
- Whimsical habit of chewing on clothing – especially soiled clothing
- Female has a long slender ovipositor.
Distribution/Habits
- The House Cricket is attracted to warmth.
- Lives outdoors in debris during warmer months of the year
- May migrate indoors when weather turns cools
- They conceal themselves in cracks and crevices.
- Generalist feeders; will consume liquids
- Nocturnal
- Will bite if handled
